Boiler water treatment

Carbonate hardness, dissolved oxygen and low pH in drinking water lead to scale formation and corrosion in the boiler. The consequences are reduced efficiency and sometimes considerable damage to the heating system. The costs caused by this are in no relation to those of a correct boiler water treatment.

In addition to the standard treatment of fresh water, conditioning of the boiler feed water plays a decisive role – i.e.: alkalisation (pH increase), oxygen binding or residual hardness precipitation.

In smaller hot water heating systems, inhibitors are also used prevent corrosion in other ways, e.g. by forming a protective film on metallic surfaces. Expert advice is essential for application and dosage. Our experts will be pleased to help you.

In the area of hot water heating systems up to 100 °C, german VDI 2035, among the highest standards in Europe, is recommended for the design of boiler water treatment. Above 100 °C, german VdTÜV or TRD guidelines are recommended. We will be pleased to carry out the corresponding designs for you.
