JUDO supports further training plan of BTGA, figawa and ZVSHK

Official training partner of the “Fit for drinking water” initiative

In order to ensure the quality of drinking water in the long term, increasingly stringent technical and hygienic requirements apply. This also increases the need for technical expertise in the field of drinking water installations. In addition, the new European Drinking Water Framework Directive (2020/2184) requires for the first time that more training courses be held in the future for plumbers and other experts in domestic installations. The Bundesindustrieverband Technische Gebäudeausrüstung e. V. (BTGA), the Bundesvereinigung der Firmen im Gas- und Wasserfach e.V. (figawa) and the Zentralverband Sanitär Heizung Klima (ZVSHK) are therefore jointly implementing this requirement and have developed a further training plan with the “Fit für Trinkwasser” training initiative. This is offered by training partners throughout Germany – including JUDO Wasseraufbereitung GmbH.

JUDO has joined the initiative and is thus an official training partner with its own approved hygiene and technical instructors. For 2022, dates are offered at the JULIUS-DOPSLAFF campus in Winnenden as well as nationwide, also in cooperation with the SHK state associations. An examination is scheduled at the end of the seminars and participants receive a certificate that is recognized as an additional qualification for drinking water hygiene in the industry.

The continuing education plan is divided into several thematic modules. The first module includes one-day and two-day events on drinking water hygiene. The seminars are aimed both at planners (training PAB; planning, execution, construction supervision) and at persons who install and maintain drinking water installations (training EI). A third seminar is intended for operators of drinking water installations (training BE). Legal topics, microbiology and regulations with practical relevance are presented in the events.

At the SHK in Essen, the associations will be providing information about the further training measures at the Treffpunkt Trinkwasser stand in Hall 6, Stand I 17 T, together with a number of partners – including JUDO. On Friday, 09.09.2022, JUDO expert and head of seminars Dr. Heinz Rötlich will give a lecture on the topic of Gefährdungsanalsye from 13.30.
